Elections_1

I can't avoid to touch this issue. In a couple of days Egypt will face its elections. What was only a whisper that could hardly be perceived, now is a howling reality: the whole city is covered with banners with the current President's pictures. On bridges, hotel facades, streets, shops. He looks benevolently at his people: sometimes he sits on a desk holding a pen in his hand, sometimes his eyes look far away at the country's future. Usually in these last posters industries and factories appear on his back. He is even represented as a sort of Napoleon, with one of his hands hiding in his blue jacket. I was thinking about documenting all this by taking pictures ( and I actually started doing that) when I noticed that the candidate also has a web site. www.mubarak2005.com
People are welcome to write to the President to ask any question or even express any opinion, can follow the events, news and see his platform, read about the First Lady, very well known in the country for her concern on gender issues or even vote in a poll:

What is the most important issue determining your vote for the presidential candidate?
-Creating more job opportunities
-More freedom and democracy
-Improving wages

Why should Egyptians be interested in other candidates?
