Nobel Peace Prize

This year's Nobel Peace Prize went to an Organization led by an Egyptian: Mohammed el Baradei. The Organization is the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). As a person who is involved in International issues and who lives in Egypt, I tried to get to know more about him and about the reason why the organization was awarded such a prestigious prize. I found out that the Organization was awarded for its "efforts to prevent nuclear energy from being used for military purposes and to ensure that nuclear energy for peaceful purposes is used in the safest possible way". Enough. What I really found interesting is a statement by Mohamed El Baradey, with which I totally agree:
"We must abandon the unworkable notion that it is morally reprehensible for some countries to pursue weapons of mass destruction, yet morally acceptable for others to rely on them for security - and indeed to continue to refine their capacities and postulate plans for their use"
