I like the Egyptian word used to express agreement and consent: meshi (مِشي ). Meshi means "walked away" but it usually stands for ok, and it is a word that fits in different contexts.
You can say: méshi? and be very assertive by giving the other person no other choice than agreeing with what you say.
You can say meeeshi! and express full agreement.
Or say meshi? and the other person would give you a sharp meshi back. Perfect armony.
I like to say meshi-meshi and sound a bit Japanese (the word in fact is also used in Japanese cuisine, refers to a traditional way to serve rice and is usually used only by males!) .
I like meshi more than ok. I'd like it to take over ok's place.
